The Highland Jaycees annual Schweizerfest is slated for Friday through Sunday on the city’s (Belleville) downtown Square. Parades begin at 5 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.
Members of the Quincy Jaycees are going to send hundreds of ducks down the river for a good cause. The Duck Dash for Cash, in which yellow rubber ducks sold for $5 apiece will race down the Mississippi River, will benefit the Cancer Center at Blessing Hospital.
Children and adults of all ages are invited to the annual “Lunch with Bunny” celebration of spring on Saturday. The annual event is hosted by the Sheboygan Jaycees and includes pizza and dessert, crafts and coloring, carnival games, Sheboygan Police Dept. The 2006 Brookhill Steeplechase gallops on into its fourteenth year, as the Raleigh Jaycees replace grazing cows with galloping horses and nearly 12,000 spectators at Clayton’s Brookhill Farms on May 6. The Brookhill Steeplechase is the only nationally sanctioned steeplechase organized entirely by volunteers.
